If your child is hard to understand, it can impact more than just speech.

Reduced speaking intelligibility can affect a child's confidence, participation at school, and connection with peers and loved ones.

At Speechie in Spokane, services are designed to target the root of your child’s speech clarity challenges while building confidence every step of the way.

Speech screenings are used to identify potential deficits and determine if a formal speech evaluation is needed. After the screening is completed, Nicole will discuss the results with you and provide recommendations.

A speech evaluation helps identify exactly what is making your child hard to understand. You will leave with a clear understanding of your child’s speech skills and a step-by-step plan for improvement.

What’s included:

  • Assessment of speech sound production

  • Clear explanation of findings (no confusing jargon)

  • Personalized therapy recommendations

  • Time for your questions and concerns

Based on results from the evaluation, Nicole will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. Treatment is based on current research and is tailored to meet your child's individual needs. Nicole believes that speech therapy should be FUN, and activities used in sessions should be intrinsically motivating to each child.

At Speechie in Spokane, parents and caregivers play a key role in the speech therapy process. Nicole goes the extra mile to ensure you know how to support your child's speech development.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to help your child practice at home

  • What to say (and what not to say) when your child is hard to understand

  • Verbal and visual cues supporting your child's speech production

You should feel confident in knowing how to support your child, and progress happens faster when practice continues between sessions.
